The website is built for students checking homework, parents or tutors explaining a method, teachers preparing examples, and anyone revising foundational algebra. A result appears with the transformations used to reach it so you can locate a sign error, compare methods, or confirm your own work.
The calculator accepts familiar typed notation such as 2(x + 3) = 14, x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0, 1/3 + 1/4, and 18:24. The interpreted input is displayed before the result, which makes ambiguous grouping or an accidental symbol easier to notice.

How answers and checks are produced
Supported problems are parsed into mathematical structures and classified before a method is selected. Integers, written fractions, and terminating decimals are kept as exact rational values where the method permits. Transformations are attached to named algebra rules instead of being presented as unexplained jumps.
Verification depends on the problem type. A proposed equation solution can be substituted into the original equation; simplified, factored, or expanded polynomials can be compared by coefficient; and a complete quadratic result can be checked against its discriminant and both formula branches. If the input falls outside the published capability, the calculator should say so rather than disguise an unsupported guess as an answer.
Free access and practical privacy
The core calculators are free to use and do not require an account. Theme preference and recent-problem history are stored locally in the browser so they can be cleared from the device. Algebra input is sent to the website server to produce a result, while hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request data needed to deliver and protect the service.
Google Analytics uses advanced Consent Mode on production pages. Its storage defaults to denied, so it does not read or write Analytics cookies before permission; Google may still receive limited cookieless measurements. Google AdSense is not currently active because no publisher client ID or ad placement is configured. The Privacy Policy and Cookie and Browser Storage Notice explain these practices and choices.
